Getting started
We start by getting together with you informally–at your home or a coffee shop. We want to meet you and, more importantly, want you to meet us. The photographer for your wedding is going to spend all day with you–so it is really important that you know us and like us.
We will ask about your ceremony and your reception. You may not have all of the details worked out yet, but that is just fine. We will want to know about the kinds of things that make you happy. We will show you samples of work we’ve done for other couples, too.
From there we will put together an estimate based on the things that are most important to you.
You will look over the estimate, sign it.
Then we will send you a contract with all of your details included. You will make sure that you like it, sign it and get it back to us with a deposit to lock in your date.
Engagement session
If you schedule an engagement session, we can do that at any time before your wedding. Photos from your engagement session can be used in wedding announcements, as unique decorations in your guest book and as mementos of the very beginnings of your life together. We shoot these as though they were going in a lifestyles magazine. The engagement session is also a good “warm up” for working with LaLaLa Photo during your wedding. P.S. It is FUN!
We will get those photos online immediately after the shoot and get prints out to you quickly.
Careful logistics
Then we check in with you every few weeks until the month before the ceremony.
We will do site visits to the place where you will be married and to the reception space. We will talk with the person who will officiate your ceremony to be sure of their rules.
We strongly encourage brides to do a test run of hair and makeup. See how long it takes. Do you like the style? Does the veil fit the way you want it? During that test run is a good time to do bridal portraits.
We will work with you to finalize a shot list and logistics. (We do most of that–no extra work for you, just any edits you have.)
The big day!
We strongly encourage you to have us attend your rehearsal. Your families will get to know us.
We show up early for your big day.
We take photos of your fabulous wedding and reception.
You have a blast!
Sharing the love
We get photos online for you and your guests within 48 hours.
When things settle down we meet with you to plan your album or order prints.
